Subject: Need some simple (?) repair advice
Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2000 11:36:05 +0100
Just a thought?
what about mechanical fix? (drill and tap, or nut and bolt?)..
There is a resistance to all the chemical gunk type stuff.
You can solder some stainless steels, depending on the 'quality'. Are u sure
its stainless steel?, is it magnetic?.......
Seriously though a better fix would be to fabricate a new one out of tensile
brass (u can get this from any aeromodellers store). In the past I made
something similar for a flashgun (one that uses PF60 bulbs), out of the
terminal posts from a 1296 battery.
Good luck with the project....
regards
David
