: Now it seems I`d have to trade these items to reach the necessary sum for
the Shift:
: Zuiko -T 2.8/135 + Telemore 2x
: Zuiko-Z 4/65-200
: Zuiko-Z 3.5~4.5/35~195
: Oly.flash F 280
: Vari-magni-finder
: Zuiko-S 1.4/50
: Soligor Zoom 4~5.6/60~300 - A nice lens, but undervalued.
: I bought it new, so I´ve a lot of monney loss with it.
: (Maybe my Zuiko-W 2.0/35)
: I`ve payed about DM 2150.-(2550.-with 2/35) for all that equipment.
: Now I´ve seen that
: the price for a new 2.8/35 Shift would be 2311.- here in Germnany. So I´m
not sure
: I´d make a good deal. I already planned to reduce my equipment a bit, but
the 35~105, : or the 2.0/35 are two lenses I wanted to keep.
: What are you thinking about it? Does a Shift equal such a lot of
equipment, even
: if most of`em aren`t what I always use?
Frieder,
don't do it! This is the worst trade I've ever seen. The used value of a
35mm shift is about 1000DM, so its price is reasonable. If I roughly add the
value of all this equipment (135/2.8 150DM, TC 25DM, 65-200 600DM, 35-105
500DM, F280 300DM, VMF 150DM, 50/1.4 150DM, Soligor 250DM, 35/2 500DM) he
would be getting more than twice its value, as you already stated, taking
advantage of your Zuiklust.
I would try another scenario. Make a reasonable down payment like 200DM to
have the lens set aside for you. Then try to sell two or three items that
you can miss, like the 65-200, VMF and F280, individually, not to him or
another a dealer but by private advertizing or on e-bay. An even better
scenario IMHO would be a private loan to bridge your temporary shortage of
zuikcoins.
