Hi all,
Sorry, this does not directly have any OM-content, but indirectly it does
- at least to the point where even an OM-camera needs film to be any much
fun...
Anyone who has experiences from shopping at www.7dayshop.com (formerly
mx2.com)????
I recently ordered a huge quantity of films of different kinds (ok, those
who know me will know that it was Ilford Delta's of different
speeds for the Olympus + some Ilford PanF in 120-rolls) along with other
stuff (a few 49mm filters, some Ilford multigrade paper etc). This
delivery came today - in 5 envolopes (a total of 6, the last expected
tomorrow)....
HOWEVER....I didn't recieve quite what I ordered. I did order 5 Ilford
Delta 3200 films (135-36) but recieved 5 Kodak T-max 3200 (135-36). These
are slightly cheaper, have (for what I use them for) slightly worse grains
- and the worst part: I do not know them much, thus rather than being
"users" film, ther would be "learners" (how much can they be puched? What
are the concequences of pushing? How 'bout tweaking in
development? etc...). That was not my purpose atall, I needed the films
for a specific night-project I am working on (maybe more on that in
a later email when the pictures are taken, developed & scanned?)......
I have written to 7dayshop.com to point out that apparently an error has
been made and that I am expecting that they figure out how to correct that
error without any costs on my side - I have (of course) not recieved a
reply to this yet (the mail was sent a few hours ago), but I hope that
they will email me one of these days to sort things out.
I am, however, curious if other list members do their shopping for "camera
food" at 7dayshop.com, and - if so - if they experience that the shop send
something they think of as "equivalent to" the ordered rather than what
exactly was ordered?
On a similar note, are there any other on-line places (cheaper,
better?) for buying quantities of camera food, that I should know
of? 7dayshop is somewhat cheaper than buying locally in the shops around
here, but maybe there are even cheaper alternatives around?
