I had a similar problem with a Tamron 28mm on my 2n. It worked fine on the
omG, but i think the tab that controls aperture was getting in the path of
the mirror. It looked like the mirror was going up from the viewfinder, but
I don't think it had a full range of motion. Maybe there is a little more
depth from the mounting ring to the mirror on the omG? The same "little
twist" fixed the problem on mine as well. I doubt it has anything with the
shutter or batteries, as you would see the problem with every lens. I have
another 28, so I've just been using that instead, but my bet is that you
could shorten that aperture tab a bit and it would still function well, while
giving the mirror clearance. I'm no sure how you'd feel about taking a metal
file to your 90/2 though! It may also be repairable through a mirror
adjustment.
Hope that was helpful,
Evan
