OK, assuming that an LCD can change state fast enough to be useful as a
shutter, I think the killer problem was the fact that an LCD is not
perfectly transparent when in the "off" mode (or whatever you call that
mode). Of course, I am not an LCD expert, so caveats fully apply. <g>

OM content:
I pulled out my OM gear and "excercised" the shutters and diaphrams
last night. I've been too busy with spring landscaping to do much photo
work. I did find a problem with two older non-zuiko lenses though. They
both have diaphrams that "hang" at smaller apertures, like f/22. Not a
big deal, but anyone have an idea of the cure? The blades were not
oily, btw.
