I have also heard that Zeiss made a small number of f/0.7 lenses
for NASA.
The late Stanley Kubrick acquired a couple of them and had
them modified for use on Arriflex. This allowed him to shoot
the candlelit interiors for "Barry Lyndon" without *any*
auxiliary lighting!
