Hi guys,
Upon special request by Hans, yesterday I checked the hoods for the 28mm
lenses in more detail. The findings were as follows:
-The metal and rubber hoods for the 28/3.5 (in case of the rubber one, also
for the 28/2.8) _are_ pretty similar after all in terms of angle and depth.
I was initially "deceived" a bit by the thicker rim of the rubber hood.
-The (metal) hood for the 28/2 is significantly wider than the ones for the
28/3.5 and the 28/2.8. In fact, it is even about 2 or 3mm wider than the
(metal) hood for the 24/2.8!
Conclusion: in case you can't find the proper hood for the 28/2 (which is
probably not all too common), you would be better off trying to find the
(more common?) hood for the 24/2.8, than the (ubiquitous) ones for the
28/3.5 and 28/2.8 lenses...
Case closed! :)
Cheerzzz,
Olafo
