Hi,
Earlier on I typed:
To complete(?) the picture, I also have an old metal clamp on type marked
"1.4/50 1.8/50 3.5/28",
And then it was pointed out to me that the lastly indicated lens should
probably have been the 2.8/35 (instead of the 3.5/28), so I checked the
hood, and indeed this is the case.
So, after eliminating that hood from the list, there was still the question
whether the hood for the 28/3.5 (and/or 28/2.8) would vignette on the 28/2.
Well, last Friday I received the metal hood for the 28/2 (only marked as
"2/28"), and indeed it is different from the metal hood marked "3.5/28", as
it is substantially wider. On a different note, the rubber hood marked
"2.8/28 3.5/28" seems to be about equally wide as the 28/2 hood. This might
explain why some people did see vignetting when using one of those hoods
(the metal one for the 28/3.5, I presume?), whereas others didn't see any
vignetting (who then probably used the rubber one)...
I hope all is clear now?
Cheers,
Olafo
PS: John: the order for a new pair of glasses is underway ;)))
