If you're testing yours, make sure body cap is
on AND cover the eyepiece lens with black tape.
"But eyepiece light doesn't affect exposure....." in this case it will.
That's kind of scary, since the exposure is supposed to come from the
SBCs in the mirror box, NOT the selenium cell that points at the
focusing screen. This was a big point in Olympus' ads of the day,
since competing cameras required an eyepiece cover for long exposures.
Does this mean light leaks into the mirror box from the eyepiece, or
that the secondary metering system somehow affects exposure, or, or,
or?
