I've done this once in my life only - and probably won't do it again as
I don't care much for flying in small planes - I get airsick very
easily.
Bring fast film is my first recommendation. Try and get seat where the
window opens up so that you won't be photographing through perspect
glass
(and you get fresh air so you won't feel so sick). Also get a good
rubberised eyecup - you don't really want to bump your eyeball into the
metallic viewfinder...sorta hurts.
If you get a chance to sit in a helicopter OTOH, *much* smoother.
