Not on my OM-1, it is quite easy to knock that switch from X to FP
while changing lens without knowing it. This is probably due to
old age (both the camera and me, with my fumbling fingers :-)).
No, I will never actually dump the OM-1, it was just frustrating.
I've had that camera for a long long time, and it served me well.
That's why I bought an OM-1n to serve as back-up when the OM-1 dies.
But I still use the OM-1 as my primary camera (partly because I don't
have a hot shoe for the OM-1n, but also because the film advance on
my OM-1n is not as smooth as the OM-1).
But if anyone is interested in swapping an OM-1n (with a hot shoe)
for my OM-1, please contact me off-line. Thanks.
