Guess you mean a Zuiko 4.0/28-48

I bought a 2/40 these days, where I noticed that the reopening of the diaphragm
after releasing the button is slower at middle appertures. However, the closing
of the
diaphragm is ok. So I assured to have warranty (dealer buy) and bought.
Besides I asked a Oly-repairman about: he confirmed, that`s a lubbrication
problem.
Maybe the lens must be opend, cleaned and correct reoiled. As hobbyist and
OM-Fan
he offered to do that for about DM 100 (~ $50) + tax + shipping. I guess that
would be a good
price reagarding the needed amount of time, and a repairshop would be more
expensive.
I took a testfilm which was correct exposed with this lens, so I´m glad.
But the lens you mentioned seems to be affeced harder.
I would be more careful, with problems while closing the diaphragm. If the
diaphragm-elements aren`t clean (lubbricant), the lens have a problem.
(The elements at my 40mm lens are clean, nevertheless the diaphragm is not 100
0.000000e+00alty).
