I think the Nikon Japanese web page said something like "Year 2000
commemorative" or something like that (I don't read Japanese). In
that case, it is unlikely that there will be a consumer version of
this camera. Nikon is probably learning from Leica in producing
high price collectable/commemorative cameras in very limited
quantities.
