Print film is too different than positives, and your pics will not look
the same. The "slides" will be lower in contrast, mostly, and will lack
the crackle of the originally exposed film. That's not to say you won't
like it; you can get a nice, soft effect that is hard to get with slide
film. The movie stock they use is not designed to be too sharp.
Your slides will be cropped, more than that normally masked off by the
mount with slide film. Also, I think they get an average density for
the whole roll, and then expose all the frames at the same setting. A
roll submitted to them should probably be pretty consistent in density.
If that's a problem, you can get individually analyzed frames done at a
higher cost. Finally, I wouldn't count on the cinema-type stock to be
as fade resistant as properly stored slide film.
The process Dale uses is good for multiple-copy AV presentations, and
they have a better reputation than Seattle Filmworks.
