I looked at the ppt file that explains the "difference between
digital lenses & film lenses."
The difference is that the light rays, according to the diagram,
proceed in parallel into the CCD chip. I presume this is because the
Oly CCD prefers light straight in.
However, not all CCDs are so picky. e.g. the CCDs in Nikon's D1 and
others.
If only Oly would get off their duff & produce a camera like the
Leica S1, but using a CCD instead of a scanning bar, perhaps they
could make grab the digital sweepstakes & sell a bunch more lenses to
pros.
