Subject: [OM] Is this lens usable?
Date: Tue, 28 Mar 2000 16:13:51 +0200
Yo y'all,
on the search for a cheap zoom lens to keep on the cheap body I'm planning
to leave in my car/motorcycle trunk whenever I don't have reason to expect
any outstanding photo opportunities (in which case, of course, I'd carry at
least 2 of my best bodies and some of the cream of my lenses :-) ) I've
come
across a Kalimar MC 3,5/28-85 mm in EX+ condition. While I don't expect
this
to be an outstanding lens I wonder whether it might be suitable for the
purpose and whether it is worth the asking price of (the equivalent of
approx.) $ 40.-, or whether Kalimars tend to pe complete dogs. Does anybody
here have any experience with this piece of glass?
MtFbwy,
Volkhart
