I love this lens. While its resolution is not as high as the f/3.6's it
offers more contrast than the latter, and is considerably lighter and
smaller. It was one of my workhorse lenses until it was stolen last August,
and I even had some of the best shots taken with it blown up to poster size
(40 x 60 cm) with very nice results. As I need a 35-70 I have replaced it
with a 35-70/3.6 that I got an excellent deal on and like very much, but I
find I still want a 3.5-4.5.
A while ago a list member offered me one for $ 50.-, but then could not find
it when he looked for it.
So if anyone has one for sale at a reasonable price (I had paid about $ 80
or 90 for the one that was stolen, and that's the max I am willing to spend
for a replacement) I'm still on the lookout.
