The focus screen in our beloved OM cameras is approximately 5 feet (just
less than 2 meters). This is regardless of what the camera is focused on
since you are actually looking at a fixed object at a fixed distance inside
the camera. The only variation on this theme is if you are using a clear
focus screen without matte surface. Dioptic correction is necessary in
your camera's viewfinder if you require vision correction at 5 feet (2
meter) distance. I do, and I use a -1 in my viewfinders. Negative
diopters have an added side benefit of shrinking the viewfinder image
slightly which raises the apparent contrast of the focus screen too.
Eat more carrots.
