Thank you, Simon. Lots of food for thought there that I hadn't read.
I have read the reviews of these lenses, and some seem much better than
others. Like everything else, there are some compromises to be
considered, and the technology is still in its infancy.
Nikon must have solved the problem (who else would have crowed ?)
or given up and jumped on the bandwagon now that they've announced
the 80-400 w/IS.
