There's some info on Angenieux lenses at:
http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/third/cult.html#angenieux
Apparently this lens went list for $1,973 1998 dollars in 1983. Don't know much
more about them as they seldom come up outside France and even more seldom in
Oly mount. Mostly they were made in Leica mount, suggesting a discriminating
clientele, perhaps? I believe they came with a 30+ year warranty new as well. Do
a search on closed Angenieux ebay auctions, you'll find that a number of these
lenses go for premium bucks. I think this would be a great lens to find in some
second hand shop with no idea what they've got. Ok, so I have situational
ethics. :-) One of these lenses was discussed fairly recently on this NG. I
believe SO slagged it, however.

Can anyone tell me more about this lens?
Pierre Angenieux 35-70 f2.5-3.3 lens in MINT condition with original case
I like my OM, but I don't know anything about this. It already has a bidder
at $400, and I don't plan on bidding, but it sure is unique.
Thanks
Tom
