Stephen:
Yes, I recently ordered one for my OM-2Sp from B&H Photo in New York City. I
don't know about *three* extra stops, but they are indeed noticeably brighter
than the standard 1-series OM screens (and about the same brightness as the
2-series OM screens, which use similar technology to achieve the increase in
brightness). My Intenscreen is slightly more "roughly" finished than a
2-series screen, but not so bad that you'd really care (I stopped noticing it
almost immediately).
Be aware that if you do retrofit your OM-1n MD with this screen, you'll have to
get your exposure meter recalibrated (or do the math in your head all the
time). That's because the OM-1n's meter reads light off of the screen.
By the by, check out B&H's website at:

Their Intenscreens, while expensive, are much less so than the 75 to 80 pounds
Sterling you quoted -- worth ordering from across the pond, perhaps? ;-)
