I suppose one could go the other way and use the 28 f/2.8 hood, which is not
as deep, but wider, though I don't think it would offer the flare protection.
It IS a bit of a pain to use any screw-in hood because you have to actually
grasp the lens hood to change apertures. If the hood is not snugged up well,
you end up unscrewing the hood when going to smaller apertures. Makes you
wonder if Oly was a bit uncommitted about it and put threads on the lens for
filters and let the owners decide about hoods.
