When another list member took apart an Olympus 2X-A for his own nefarious
purposes, I got to thinking would it be possible to build a 1.4X that would
be usuable on the 100/2.8, 100/2, 135, 200, etc. Couldn't I take the insides
out of one of the newer Sigma or Kenko TCs and put it inside an extension
tube. The metering on non-indexing lens just denotes how many stops down from
full open you are so metering would be preserved. The only difficult thing
would be to get the extender the right distance from the film plane and lens
and make sure that it was square.
