I'll have some surplus 8x10 paper by the end of the quarter, and was
wondering if I can print (inkjet) on it
I wouldn't expect useful results. Photo-ink-jet paper has a water
receptor coating -- usually a starch or sizing -- that quickly
absorbs ink drops so they dry quickly.
Photographic paper, especially resin-coated -- is exactly the
opposite. It is designed to repel water.
Most likely, the ink will sit wet on the surface for a long time and
smear, and may even bead up.
But hey -- try it! The worst that can happen is a messy clean-up job.
