Robin, The bounce grip delivers high voltage directly to your flash
circuits too. No 6 volt connection exists between the grip and the
flashgun.
The only way to feed 6 volt to your flashgun is by connecting to the
terminals inside the battery compartment (and this is also what the
Quantum 1 battery does).
