There's a guy in Japan that paints old brass cameras. He strips the old
chrome off using industrial chrome remover and then bakes on a new
finish. It wouldn't work on Titanuim though. Olympus had a devil of a
time getting the paint to stay on those. I don't know what the OM-1 or
OM-2 tops are made of .
Here's the URL the guy who does camera painting. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Oracle/5799/shintaro.htm Skip > cnocbui@xxxxxxxxx writes: > > << Does anyone know a source to get a camera painted that shows bad signs > of wear? > > Dan Boardman > >> ----------------------------------------------- Skip Williams Westfield, NJ skipwilliams@xxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------- < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
