Subject: Re: [OM] OM-2000 focusing accuracy
I would not be suprised if the focussing accuracy of
the 2000 stayed intact over the life of the camera.
what would cause the lens flange/film rails/mirror
angle&position/screen surface relationship to go out
of spec?

the cheesey plastic back to which the pressure plate is attached
comes to mind. It may be that even an OM-4T isn't as good
at maintaining focusing accuracy as, say, a Nikon F3. But
this is definitely an area where a pro-level body excels above
the cheap ones, and if Cosina has made a $159 camera that can
maintain focusing accuracy as well as an expensive pro-level
camera, it probably is the only one on the market.
