I have an OM2000 and an OM2. I find I use the OM2000 almost exclusively. I
love it's light weight, and the silky smooth film advance just give it a
great feel. I also feel good knowing that it has a 2 year warrantee (in
Australian, anyway) and that if I did something really dumb - I can go to
the shop and confidently buy another one without spending a month doing the
rounds of the local second hand dealers. I also like the idea that in the
year 2000 you can go out and by a fully mechanical camera that can take
great pictures without any batteries.
There is, however, one more negative that I don't think has been mentioned.
When doing bulb exposures the red - LED stays on and can affect the film.
The Olympus recommended solution is to take out the batteries, which can be
a bit fiddly! Needless to say this is when the OM2 comes out.
Cheers,
Mike
