=================
I have a [Vivitar] 28/1.9. It's pretty sharp and gives good contrast as long as
there are no light sources in the picture, when it will flare a lot.
Its major defect though is the pronounced pincushion distortion.
=================
it also vignettes wide open. however, under most circumstance it produces
a high quality image, and the floating elements make it better than
a 28/2.8 at close focus range and f/2.8 aperture. This makes the
Vivitar lens a good value on the user market.
