Tim,
Yes I heard of RMS mounts but was never really clear on them until I went to a
site that
someone else on the list refereed me to. It is
http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/microlen.htm And it covers all I ever
wanted to know
about high magnification camera lenses. One interesting note is that the Zuiko
20mm/2.0 and
38mm/2.8 are the only lenses that are specifically made for a modern camera
mount with auto
diaphragms. And these Zuikos are still available as new.
I've just tried some very close up's using the OM Bellows and the
35-70/f3.5-4.5. I put it
in close focus and moved the bellows halfway down the rail. I'm guessing it is
2:1.
Has anyone else tried using this lens with the bellows? I shooting with K25
and the ring
flash. It will be interesting to see how this comes out.
Oh, Tim you may be giving away one of my lens buying secrets. In December I
found Zuiko
24/2.0 MC in almost new condition in a optics and housing lab. I knew one of
the owners and
he had told me he thought it was there a year or two ago. When was moving
some things
around he found it on a shelf in the back. He told me to come and get and I
could pay him
later. When I finally asked what he wanted for it he said $100 cash would be
great. I told
him he could probably sell it for much more than that and he said "good then
you do that and
make you some extra cash for yourself". Well it's in mint condition, and it's
a keeper.
