[OM] MLU on OM-1n

I notice that when I lock up the mirror on my OM1n, it does not go 
all the way up. It hangs down almost 1/4" until the shutter fires, at 
which point it closes the gap. Is this normal?

nope, the MLU knob should lock it up fully.
