I think the usual recommendation for this is the black-coated backing
paper from 120 rollfilm.
Ordinary white paper is going to reflect IR (along with visible light)
back through the film.
Of course there is no *guarantee* that the black backing absorbs IR - since
that's not what it's designed for - but it can't hurt.
The 120 backing paper also tends to be quite smooth, which would be
necessary to minimise friction against the film during winding.
