I have the manual 7mm tube; there aren't any levers on it, so yours is auto. I
don't know if the auto version is supposed to have springs inside. I have a TC
w/o
springs that works, using the spring mechanism of the lens and body, as long as
you mount the lens on the TC with the levers in the right posisition.
