Ian,
I think that you are referring to the Tamron SP 90 mm f2.5 Macro lens
(later ver went to f2.8, I think). I have the Tamron 90 mm f2.5 and am
as pleased with it as I am of any lens that I have. This is one of the
really special lens that Tamron made. I believe that I loaned my lens
to Gary Reese a while back to include it in his testing program. If
so, he will have the test results available. The only change that I
would like (read "dream") other than a little more speed of course, is
that I find that for outdoor macro some add focal length would be nice.
I would like something in the 110 mm to 125 mm range.
All in all, it is a superb lens that rival Zuikos in it's class at a
fraction of the price.
