I too have seen the photograph that's being referred to here. To a degree I
think it's irrelevant whether it is posed, manipulated or whatever, since it
captures perfectly the occasion and the mood of the time.

it is irrelevant in terms of the effect of the image, but it would be
unethical to call it a candid if it was posed.
I have very high respect for Eisenstadt, and whether or not this
image was posed, it is a great image.
