: I find myself doing more work wich requires deep
: focus. The problem is that I can't check to see if the
: DOF is right because the micro prism goes completly
: dark! I understand that I can get a replacement screen
: that gathers more light, and maybe one that doesn't
: have the micor prism deal.
:
: But I don't know a model number or anything. What do
: y'all recomend?
An all-matte screen.
There's the 1-4, 1-4n, 1-8, 1-10 and 2-4.
The 1-8 is intended for long lenses and astro photography, the 1-4 and 1-4n are
for general photography and the 1-10 has grid lines intended for aligning the
camera using a shift lens; also for general photography and composition using
the
rule of thirds. The 2-4 finally is much brighter, can only be mounted in the
OM-2n
when the tab is filed off and will throw off the manual meter (but Auto OTF will
still work fine).
