Similar to many of the others, I get 6 mo's to a year out of the 357's in
the OM-4. It's always stored in mechanical 1/60th with the mode switch in
"Manual."
I haven't seen mentioned yet:
+ turn off the "beeper" which eliminates some drain during use
(flip the self timer switch the other direction).
+ store carefully so the prism light button (on right side of
prism) doesn't get accidentally pressed.
+ use the battery check sparingly.
Make sure you get a *fresh* set of 357's. One set pooped out on me in only
a few weeks. Finally figured out they had been on the store's rack too
long. The set that replaced them lasted a year. Check the watch counter
versus the camera counter. Sometimes you're more likely to find 357's
there, and at a lower price.
