I used "Goop", which is a thick, rubbery adhesive, in very small quantities
applied with a toothpick. The nice thing about the stuff is that it doesn't
damage the finish (fairly easy to remove). I did have to do some cleanup of
dried stuff, but it was simply a matter of pulling little blobs with
tweezers.
