I am interested in finding out more about the ES-10 scanner. I have almost
exclusively shot black and white film in my olympus cameras and developed in my
basement.
Lately, I have begun to shoot slide film and am trying to resolve the
debate about which is better for color, slide or negative film. I have
followed the postings here on that subject and also found excellent material on
Photo.net, however, I just can't decide.
Then I happened upon information regarding the ES-10 and thought that maybe
it would help me decide because I could shoot slides (more economical) and then
print shots through the scanner. I find that I only want to print a few shots
from each roll anyway so this seems to make sense. For prints that I want to
enlarge to 8x10 and greater I would need a good slide to print lab. I realize
that I will need a photo quality printer but they seem to be coming down in
price.
What have been your experiences with the ES-10? My main interest is
two-fold. First, its from Olympus and I love my om-1 and om-4 so adding
another Olympus component would be great. Second, and probably most important,
the ES-10 is the lowest priced scanner out there.
