Allan;
2 suugestions: the only Zuiko fitting your description is the
85-250/5. Great lens, pretty big, very sharp, 250 is a nice loong end
number. Lens can be hard to find, is only avail used, and can run from
$250 to $400 or so. The other Zuiko zooms lack the tripod collar. But
you could get a Bogen long lens support for any of them which will work
at least as well as the tripod collar. (100-200/5, 65-200/4 ...)
Second suggestion: Get her an IS-3. $300-$400 used, $500-600 new.
Fantastic camera, 35-180 *power* zoom, AF etc. She will love it and you
can get the OM-1 back. You can add a converter on the end wich takes it
to 300mm if 180 is too short. Another $100 or so. My wife loves hers
and takes great photos with it.
