The reason is because the Pen lenses are only designed to cover a half frame
with adequate sharpness. If you were to use a Pen lens on a OM body, you'd
have to stop down considerably to get anything close to covering the full
frame. Some Pen lenses may do this, and others will not. You can use OM
lenses on the Pen body because the opposite is true in that case. In fact,
you'd get extremely sharp images because you'd be using only the central
part of the projected image from the OM lens.
If you are not particlarly attached to your Pen system, prices for it seem
to be very high on eBay lately. You could sell the entire system to finance
you OM system.
