I don't know about the F280. But a T-32 would work just fine.
I often use one on older Nikons. With such a low synch speed (yeah,
I'm used to it with the OMs & Leica), you may want to entertain the
balance between the size of the unit (the T-32 has the edge there)
and a bigger, potato-masher style unit. My advice is to carefully
consider where & why you tend to use flash, what you're willing to
drag around, and go from there.
For a unit lacking a hot shoe, you can get a flash block that
hooks up to the PC. They are cheap and work perfeactly well, BUT
carry a spare, since it is possible to break the teeny pc cord.
