Try the black hat trick as it's called: fire the shutter AFTER covering
front of lens with a black hat or something that effectiely blocks light,
but don't touch the lens or you'll start it vibrating again. Once the
scope has settled, move the hat away; reverse for closing shutter. THis
only works, however, for longer speeds, where ironically it's less needed.
I think the shortest you can go this way (depending on how well your
muscles can contract SIMULTANEOUSLY for explosive power, 1/4 sec). HTH,
