Acer,
Just about any cable release sold by your local camera store will work just
fine for your -1n -- the shutter release mechanism isn't something
everyone's gone proprietary on _yet_.
Re clips/connectors, just about any strap comes with the little leather
pads on the rings that, when installed properly, do an excellent job of
preventing the rings from rubbing directly on the camera body. Many people
don't use 'em, though I don't understand why.
I just bought a well-used -4 from a listee that's got the worst/best
brassing I've ever seen -- the whole area around the strap eyelets has been
pretty much cleaned of paint in a mottled, wavy kinda way. Actually, it's
a neat effect. If it were any more pronounced, I'd take all of the paint
off of the top & bottom plates and tell everyone I had one of the rare
OM-4Go bodies. <g>
