I don't remember whether it had a calculator, but I had for a while a Braun
Hobby, which consisted of a unit that looked like a large portable radio
with buttons on top to select power levels and containing a lead-acid
battery. The large separate head, which was much lighter than it looked,
clipped to it for carrying and storage and dwarfed even a TLR when in use. I
later took it into a dealer specialising in professional equipment and he
did me a straight swap for a new Braun unit that had much the same power but
was a fraction of the physical size.
