My turntable bit the dust 8 years ago and I couldn't find a store anywhere
that sold them. Everybody just shook their heads and chuckled when I asked.
Then I noticed them in an electronics store window on 42nd St NYC when I was
working a second job- temporary security detail in the area, and walked in
and bought one. (I live in NJ not far from NYC). But I was looking for a long
time, probably not in the right places, obviously.
Obviously :-)
Any high-end audio salon is full of turntables. In fact I brought a new
Basis turntable about a year ago.
Most urban electronics joints have SP1200s and similar for the
DJ/turntablist crowds...
