Hey, I just bought some 675 zinc-air hearing aid batteries, which
measured at a little under 1.4 volts. Close enough for me, and I didn't
need to use any adaptor for my OM1. Since I just installed it last
week, I have no idea how long it will last. They are duracell brand and
claim to last twice as long as the competition. 5$ for 4 at safeway.
I compared the meter reading with the zinc-air and with the gamex
"mercury" batteries. The gamex meter reading was higher (more towards
over exposure) than the zinc-air for the same scene. I think it was
only a half stop though. I suppose this means that the 1.45V gamex
batteries would cause an underexposure as compared to the 1.4V zinc-
air.
Be seeing you.
