VSOE nameplates were found on European OM bodies. The designation had
something to do with the body being covered under a local warranty. I
believe this might have been specific to Germany.

On the cover of Pangerl's 'The World of OM-Systems' there are an OM-1 and
OM-2
that have a strange label where normal bodies have their MD plate. It reads
VSOE.
Some pictures inside the book also show this label. What does it mean? Very
Special Olympus Equipment? What was their origin or purpose, and how many
of these
bodies were made?
