Jim, I couldn't agree with you more that the OM-1 will (past present and
future) have more appeal than any Rebel, and I agree with your other points
too. *But*, I was responding to the term "viable" from the point of view of
someone who would be looking for a camera system to use years from now, and
you are speaking of collector value. A "viable" system to me is one that is
alive and attracting new photographers, something the OM system sure ain't
gonna be doing 30 years from now. ( It probably can be argued that it's not
attracting any great numbers of new users even today).
