Those are great images. In particular I like the tree at Bryce, the straight
up shot of the pines, and the daisys (or brittlebush).
Here are some old MOdern Photo tests I've put together for you:
Resolution (lines/mm) at 1:50x Zuiko/Nikkor
3.5 5.6 8 11 16 22
Center: 63/84 70/84 63/84 63/75 56/67 50/53
Corner: 32/24 35/24 45/26 50/30 40/30 35/30
Contrast (%) at 30 lines/mm
Center: 59/71 63/77 69/72 68/72 65/62 57/49
Corner: 22/26 32/33 35/38 35/37 34/31 27/25
It looks like the Nikkor has higher central resolution and the Zuiko beats it
at the edges. The Nikkor has higher central contrast while the edge contrast
is about even. I don't know if Nikon has changed its formula since 1974. I
would favor the Zuiko here because of the higher edge resolution. Your eye is
always drawn to the edges because ofthe compression there. Also the edge
area, added up, is a greater percentage of the photo.
Warren -good luck either way
